I downloaded this theme and it said to download the Uxtheme patch by Rafael (6.0.6000.16386_XX.rar) and the Sidebar styler by Stanimir Stoyanov. But, after I follow the instructions in the Uxtheme patch precisely and reboot, an error message pops up saying can’t find uxtheme.dll. It also pops up saying can’t find some pnp file. This uxtheme was DEFINITELY in the system32 directory (Along with the other two files, copied from the Rafael patch) and the spelling was correct. SO, after the welcome screen, I get a black screen and can’t do jack. I tried restoring/repairing Vista, but this did nothing. UGH, so I had to reinstall Vista from scratch. I tried I again just after reinstalling. Same problem. What the hell is wrong with Windows or this patch???

BTW, this is the 64-bit version of vista I’m running. Also, aftter running these two programs where do you put the maxclear files (Aero Maxclear V3.theme, Aero MaxClear V3 folder, etc.)/how do you use the theme?

Per http://anti-tgtsoft.com/?p=13 Custom Theme Support has been destroyed by Microsoft Update 933928. Uninstalling this update and rebooting did not restore my MaxClearV3 setup. If you have not yet installed this evil update and wish to retain custom theming, beware 933928.

I had no idea my theme had even been put on this site until a very good friend of mine in the theming community told me. I have no problem with this as it is credited to me unlike another website I found where someone had passed off my theme as their own work :)
Anyhoo as for the 933928 problem. All you need to is rename the .mui file in the enUS folder to match the name of the theme. For example ‘maxclear.msstyles.mui’ then apply the theme and it will work. If you look now the mui file will have the name ‘aero.msstyles.mui’ so just rename it and the theme will work fine.
